Augustine Cuenca was born and raised in Chicago. His father has spent a lifetime in the construction trades across the city and surrounding suburbs, and his older brother followed the same path — building, framing, finishing, and turning over properties from Rogers Park to Oak Park to Evanston.
Augustine grew up swinging a hammer before he could drive. Weekends were spent helping his father punch out units. Summers were spent on his brother's crews. The work ethic, the standards, and the respect for the trades were handed down — not learned from a book.
